Meet Odunlade Adekola's Wife + Their Love Story


The name, Ruth Abosede Adekola may not ring a bell, but that of her husband does. She is the wife of popular Yoruba actor, Odunlade Adekola, the pillar behind the Abeokuta-based actor. She revealed how they met in 1995 at a church vigil, in Sabo area of Abeokuta, Ogun State, how blissful their  marriage has been, their 3 boys and most importantly cleared the air on the misconception that Odunlade is a bully and wife-beater.

Nigerians living in New York City took to the streets of New York yesterday to protest the kidnap of over 250 Chibok schoolgirls. They were joined by other non-Nigerians who walked with them in solidarity. The protesters all adorned Africa headgear as they walked the streets and finally stopped at the Union Square in New York. Another group protested in D.C.

Happy 35th Birthday to Genevieve Nnaji

Genevieve NnajiMFR (born May 3, 1979) is a Nigerian actress and singer. In 2005 she won the Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role.

Nnaji was born in MbaiseImo StateNigeria but grew up in Lagos, the fourth of eight children and was brought up in a middle class environment. Her father worked as an engineer and her mother as a nursery teacher. She attended Methodist Girls College (Yaba, Lagos), before transferring into the University of Lagos. While at the university, she began auditioning for acting jobs amongst the many Nollywood projects.
