Photos: Red Cross Reaches Out to More Schools in Ogun State

In pursuant of her goal to effectively combat the challenges facing victims of accidents and disasters in her domain, the Ogun state chapter of the Red Cross moves to schools-both privately owned and public.

The policy of the state government under Sen.Ibikunle Amosun to have all children in its schools undergo an all-round-education sets the ground for Red Cross. Every Wednesday afternoon, all schools must come out for a two-hour extra curriculum activities programme.

This is the opportunity the state unit of the Reds aptly seized. Recently the Reds birthed at Itoki Community High school,Itoki in Ifo Local Government area with much fun fare.

The student-volunteers numbering forty and a total of ten teachers who had undergone Basic First Aid trainings were issued with their certificates.

To strengthen her conquest in the school, almost all the state officials and the divisional officers of the Society were present for the inauguration.

The Principals of both the senior and the Junior schools extended an open hand to the Society. It was a beautiful sight to see the students and teachers volunteers in their prim uniform.
