Yesterday, at the occasion of the 1st National Summit of Public Administration Students of 35 Nigerian Universities, hosted by the Department of Public Administration, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Omoluabi Governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola was showered with another honour called the Gold AWARD of ADMINISTRATION EXCELLENCE!
The host President, Leye Oderemi of the Department of Public Administration, OAU, Ile-Ife, declared in his address with a deafening ovation that "Ogbeni has put unprecedented zeal into governance that has resulted in extraordinary results to the good advantage of the good people of the state of Osun."
It would be recalled that this is the second occasion within nine months that Ogbeni would be so honoured at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. This unprecedented record triggered an electric atmosphere of carnival-like celebration of an unusual son of Osun in the annals of excellent governance in public administration in Nigeria.
